The Bird and Mammal team is growing! This additional position will join our team as we expand and improve the full picture of animal welbeing through training, enrichment, husbandry, and daily presentations in the Bird and Mammal collection. Elevating our animal and guest experience in support of our mission to promote and support wildlife conservation, research, and education as they relate to animals in the wild and in our care. Description The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park’s Bird and Mammal Department is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team, full-time. The zoo is world-renowned for its crocodilians, but it also maintains an incredible and diverse collection of birds and small mammals. Keepers are responsible for all aspects of husbandry including, but not limited to: exhibit maintenance, diet preparation, enrichment, behavioral studies, data collection, veterinary visits, public presentations, and construction projects. This demanding job requires attention to detail, time management skills, and a positive attitude that can be shared with our visitors. This position performs shows for the public, therefore requiring public speaking / education experience. The St. Augustine Alligator Farm is a drug-free workplace.
