The Fisheries Biologist will serve as the primary field and technical lead for the Robinson Rancheria of Pomo Indians’ Sacramento Pikeminnow suppression, effectiveness monitoring, and juvenile salmonid monitoring activities within the upper Eel River watershed above Lake Pillsbury. The position will coordinate closely with the Danoxa Fish and Wildlife Director, California Trout, California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), partner Tribes, universities, technical consultants, and other project partners to ensure that fisheries suppression and monitoring activities are conducted using standardized, scientifically defensible methods consistent with the basin-wide suppression program. The Fisheries Biologist will oversee seasonal Fisheries Technicians and be responsible for project planning, field operations, staff training, fisheries sampling, data QA/QC, GIS and database management, effectiveness monitoring, data analysis, and technical reporting. This is a field-intensive supervisory position requiring extended work in remote river environments and the operation of specialized fisheries equipment.
