The Krichels Biogeochemistry lab at the University of Georgia's Odum School of Ecology, is recruiting two graduate students to start in Fall 2027. Students will develop independent projects examining how disturbances affect nitrogen and/or carbon cycling in terrestrial ecosystems. PhD applicants are preferred; master's applicants will also be considered. Ideal applicants will have strong interests in ecosystem ecology, environmental science, soil science, or biogeochemistry. Prior experience with lab work, field work, data analysis, and scientific writing is preferred. Applicants should have demonstrable quantitative skills (previous job experience and/or master’s degree preferred).
